Data Deletion Policy — ReflexLab

Last updated: 20 August 2026

The short version

ReflexLab has no accounts and no servers. Everything it records stays on your phone, so you can delete all of it yourself, immediately, without asking anyone. There is no request to file and no waiting period.

Delete your data from inside the app

1. Open ReflexLab. 2. Go to Settings (the control icon at the top right of the home screen). 3. Scroll to Data and privacy. 4. Tap Delete all my data. 5. Confirm.

This permanently removes, from the device:

The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It runs as a real database delete with cascading removal of the trials belonging to each session — nothing is merely hidden or flagged.

Take a copy first if you want one. Settings → Export my data gives you every raw trial as CSV or JSON before you delete anything.

Delete everything by uninstalling

Uninstalling ReflexLab removes the app's entire private storage, including the database and all settings. Nothing is left behind, and nothing survives on any server, because there is no server.

On Android you can also use Settings → Apps → ReflexLab → Storage → Clear storage, which has the same effect as a fresh install.

What is not deleted, and why

Files you exported yourself. If you used Export my data and sent a CSV or JSON somewhere — email, cloud storage, a messaging app — that copy is outside the app's control. Delete it wherever you sent it.

Nothing else. The app holds no other copy of your data, in any form, in any location.

What we hold about you

Nothing.

ReflexLab does not transmit data. There is no account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising SDK and no advertising identifier. We never receive your reaction times, your settings, your age, your device identifiers or your IP address, so there is nothing on our side to delete, disclose or retain.

This also means we cannot delete data on your behalf, restore it, or confirm what your device holds — we have no visibility into it. Deletion is entirely in your hands, which is the point.

Retention

Your data is retained on your device for exactly as long as you keep it. There are no server-side retention periods because there is no server-side copy.

If you still want to make a request

If you believe ReflexLab holds personal data about you, or you have a question about this policy, write to williamjack1537@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days. In practice the answer will be a description of the two options above, because there is nothing held on our side to act on.

Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have a right to erasure under the GDPR and UK GDPR. That right is directed at a data controller; we do not act as a controller for any personal data from this app, because none is transmitted to or processed by us.

If a future version adds an account

If ReflexLab ever gains cloud sync, an account or a leaderboard, this page will be rewritten before that version is released. It will then describe how to request server-side deletion, how long it takes, and what is retained afterwards for legal or anti-abuse reasons. The date at the top will change when it does.
